A.F. Louw Primary School serves an extremely strong, vibrant and dynamic multi-cultural community. The school building and history lends itself to a former ex-Model C format of schooling. The nature and culture of the school has, however, completely changed since 1994. The learner population reflects the community we serve.
As principal, our school community and I are extremely fortunate to have hard-working, dedicated and well qualified teachers. Our teachers in most instances go beyond the call of duty to assist and guide our learners. At A.F. Louw our vision is to develop the child holistically, so that they become productive members of an ever changing dynamic global community.
A.F. Louw is not an affluent school, nor does it serve an affluent community but we envisage to deliver the best quality education on offer. My personal vision for the school is for all learners exiting our school at the end of grade 7 to be completely numerate and literate and with the necessary self-esteem, be able to go into their own
community to effect change.
This vision however, should be fostered and embraced by
the parents, learners and teachers of the school and
together we should make it our mission.
